Online Pokémon Club | Sunday

This group is intended for participants to build social skills, meet friends, and have fun, while engaging in friendly Pokémon card battles. In the first session, the group will collectively decide on agreements, goals, and how competitive the participants want their group to be - sometimes we may have more competitive tournaments and determine winners, and other times we may have more casual gameplay. Each session will begin with a check in question and a chance for participants to share things going on in their lives, then the group will move into Pokémon card battles. During Pokémon battles, participants are encouraged to demonstrate good sportsmanship, perseverance, and to share strategies, tactics, and tips with one another to help fellow Pokémon trainers develop their skills. A Pokémon TCG battle provides conflict, emotion, and drama, giving young people an authentic opportunity to interact socially with their peers in a low-risk environment but with real stakes on the line. 

Special Technology requirements: Ability to run Zoom (or similar) platform. Players will use the Pokémon Trading Card Game Live app. Participants will need to have the Pokémon TCG Live app installed and be able to accept and receive friend requests from other players. This will allow players to be able to challenge each other to matches. Trainers will need a device powerful enough (or multiple devices) to run the Pokémon TCG Live app and Zoom meeting platform at the same time.

Participants will need to have the PTCGO app installed and be able to accept and receive friend requests from other players. This will allow players to be able to challenge each other to matches and trade cards. Trainers will need a device powerful enough (or multiple devices) to run the PTCGO app and online meeting platform at the same time.
