Outdoor Club | Sunday

This outdoor social group is designed for teens to connect, engage in fun activities, and enjoy nature while developing new skills and friendships. Meeting weekly at Blyth Park, the group will participate in a variety of outdoor activities, from games and team-building exercises to nature walks and creative workshops. Whether it's a sunny day or a rainy one, we've got it covered! If the weather permits, we'll enjoy the fresh air at the park, but if it’s not so great outside, we’ll head to Zulus for some indoor activities and workshops.

In addition to outdoor activities, teens will have the opportunity to socialize with their peers in a relaxed, supportive environment. This group aims to foster a sense of community, encourage personal growth, and provide a safe space for teens to explore new interests, gain confidence, and have fun. Whether you love the outdoors or just want to meet new friends, this group offers something for everyone!

Notes:

For convenience, parents may drop their teen off on the west side of the parking lot. Parents are welcome to either stay in their cars, enjoy the park, or return during the scheduled pickup time.

Parents may not join the group activities or observe the group while in session due to the potential aversive affect it may have on the learners. Furthermore, parents should expect to arrive 5-10 minutes early in order for their child to experience the full group each week. Participants will be encouraged to wear comfortable clothing for engaging in physical movement activities, as well as a snack and water bottle. Other materials may be suggested throughout the course of the quarter as needed but this will be communicated to families in advance.

An Alternative location/activity will be selected if there is inclement weather
