Description

Identity & Leadership is a new program at Aspiring Youth designed to help neurodiverse youth ages 8–12 build the foundation for healthy relationships and personal growth. Using our experiential learning approach, this group creates an engaging space where participants can practice skills, ask questions, and learn through doing.

In this 10-week leadership program, students will join forces with peers to explore social structures, gain tools to advocate for their needs, and contribute to community growth. A continuation of the concepts learned in Identity and Self-Advocacy, students will find tangible ways to incorporate those concepts into activities like civics, school advocacy, and community organizing. All of this work will culminate in an event at the end of the quarter where each of the leadership programs can share their findings and celebrate their successes

At its core, this program is about showing that everything is connected. To build healthy relationships, we first learn how to be healthy, confident, and empowered individuals.
